Women were real leaders in the Tokyo Olympics and then the Black Ferns blew us away with their performance at the Rugby World Cup. But it still remains a much harder road for sportswomen than for sportsmen. Our panel discusses the issues.

Dame Valerie Adams is one of the world’s most celebrated athletes and is also a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a survivor. 

Alice Soper has been playing rugby since she was 13 years old and is a staunch advocate for getting women’s rugby over the advantage line. Rosara Joseph was a mountain bike racer at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the Beijing Olympics. She’s also a Rhodes Scholar with a PhD in law from Oxford. 

Ellesse Andrews is a track cyclist who won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. She grew up in Wānaka
